The Schneider VW3A46145 is a passive filter for Altivar variable-speed drives, sized for 22 kW / 30 hp motors across the ATV61, ATV71, ATV630, ATV650, ATV930, and ATV950 families. It draws 37 A on the output side and 36 A on the input, at 480 V +/- 10 %, 60 Hz. One filter per drive is required — no sharing across multiple units.
The filter achieves 98 % efficiency and dissipates 242 W as heat — factor that into enclosure ventilation if mounting inside a sealed panel. It complies with IEC 61000-2-2, IEC 61000-3-12, G5/4, IEC 61000-3-2, IEC 61000-2-4, and IEC 61000-3-4 for harmonic emission limits. Rated IP20 as a standalone unit; IP55 when mounted inside an enclosure. The power factor correction curve is non-linear: cos φ of 1 at 150 % line current, 0.99 at 100 %, and 0.85 at 75 %. Operating temperature range is 5 to 45 °C without derating; above that, derate 3 % per °C up to 60 °C. Above 1000 m altitude, derate 5 % per 1000 m. Terminals accept 1.5 to 25 mm² on the main connections and 2.5 mm² on the control terminals.
