The VW3A4639 is a passive harmonic filter for Schneider Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 variable-speed drives, sized for 355 kW motors. Its headline spec is a THDI of 5% at full load — that means it knocks line-current harmonics down to 5% of fundamental, which keeps the drive from polluting the plant distribution and avoids oversizing transformers or upstream breakers. Rated 325 A continuous at 400 V +/- 10%, 3-phase, 50 Hz. The 1.5 x nominal current peak rating handles motor inrush and short overloads without saturating the core. Efficiency is 98%, so you lose about 2% of the drive's input power as heat in the filter — factor that into the enclosure ventilation. Class F insulation means the winding can run hot (155 °C) without degrading, typical for this duty. Operating ambient is 5...40 °C at full current; above 40 °C derate 3% per °C up to 55 °C. Above 1000 m altitude derate 5% per 1000 m. IP20 enclosure — panel-mount only, no washdown.
Integration note
Two filters per drive for ATV61HC40N4 and ATV71HC40N4 — the 325 A rating is per filter, so a pair handles the full 355 kW drive input. Bare-wire connection, 16.5 mm diameter. Mount it between the line supply and the drive input; the filter's passive LC network does not need a control signal. Relative humidity 5...85% non-condensing. Storage range -25...55 °C.
