The Schneider VW3A4665 is a passive harmonic filter designed for Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 drives in the 18.5 kW to 22 kW range. It sits between the line supply and the drive, reducing current harmonics to meet the THDI levels listed per drive model — 10 % for most H-series drives and 5 % for the W-series variants. Rated at 35 A continuous, 480 V ±10 %, 60 Hz ±5 %, it handles up to 1.5× nominal current without saturating.
The 35 A rated current matches the input current draw of the drives listed in the compatibility table — one filter per drive, no sharing. The 480 V ±10 % supply voltage covers 460 V and 480 V nominal grids common in North American 60 Hz installations. The Class F insulation (155 °C) gives thermal headroom for the derating curve above 40 °C ambient.
Integration notes
Terminal connection accepts up to 50 mm² conductors — sized for the 35 A circuit. Mount the filter close to the drive input to keep the unfiltered line short. Operating altitude above 1000 m requires derating the current by 5 % per additional 1000 m. Storage temperature range is -25…55 °C; operating range is 5…40 °C without derating, and 40…55 °C with a 3 % per °C derating on current.
