M12 Field-Attachable Connector for Sensor/Actuator Wiring
The Siemens 3RK1902-4BA00-5AA0 is a straight M12 connector with a 5-pole A-coded pin layout, designed for field termination of sensor and actuator cables in industrial automation panels. Screw terminals accept flexible conductors up to 0.75 mm², and each pin is rated for a maximum of 4 A at up to 60 V. The zinc diecast, nickel-plated enclosure carries an IP67 rating, so the connector withstands washdown environments and dusty factory floors — suitable for food-and-bev or machine-tool zones where coolant spray is routine.
The 4 A per-pin ampacity governs the total load the connector can carry across all five poles. For a typical 24 VDC sensor loop drawing 200 mA, this leaves ample headroom; for a multi-pin actuator bundle, sum the loads per pin and stay under 4 A each. The 60 V maximum operating voltage limits the connector to low-voltage control circuits — it is not rated for mains power or 120 VAC pilot devices. The 0.8 kV surge voltage resistance (rated value) provides basic transient protection for the connected electronics. The M12 x 1 thread and 4–6 mm cable inlet diameter are standard for M12 sensor cables. The connector's 100 mating cycles mechanical service life means it is designed for occasional disconnect during maintenance, not daily plug/unplug on a test bench. For frequent connection changes, consider a pass-through or panel-mount receptacle instead.
RoHS conformity is confirmed. The connector carries IEC and cUL approvals but not UL or CSA marks — verify acceptance with your local inspector if the panel requires a UL-listed component. CCC and C-Tick are not certified, so the part may not be directly importable into China or Australia without separate compliance review. The enclosure material is zinc diecast, nickel-plated; the connector fixed part is polyamide.
