SIRIUS S00 Power Contactor, 24 V DC Coil — Panel Fit and Ratings
It carries a 24 V DC coil with screw-type terminals and includes an auxiliary switch. The contactor measures 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, and 73 mm deep — a standard footprint for S00 block contactors that fits most control panel layouts without special bracketry. That means it can be oriented to fit tight enclosures or odd panel angles without derating. Switching frequency varies by duty: up to 1000 cycles/hour in AC-1 resistive loads, 750 cycles/hour in AC-2 or AC-3 motor duty, and 250 cycles/hour in the severe AC-4 plugging/reversing category. The AC-3 and AC-3e ratings both cap at 750 ops/h, so it handles standard motor starting without a frequency penalty.
Wiring and Terminal Capacity
For doubled conductors, the range is 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². Strip and torque per Siemens standard — the spring pressure is adequate for ferrule or bare stranded terminations in a panel environment. Clearance spacing: 10 mm upwards, downwards, and forwards; 6 mm at the sides. These numbers matter for panel layout — keep that 10 mm above and below free of other components to avoid arc flash tracking.
Auxiliary Contact Ratings and Lifecycle Status
The built-in auxiliary switch is rated for switching at various control voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 0.14 A at 440 V. At 400 V the contact is rated 3 A. A 230 V motor load rating of 0.75 hp is also listed. These cover typical PLC and relay interface levels in 24 VDC and 120 VAC control circuits. The lifecycle stage is current production. This is not an NRND or obsolete line — Siemens continues to manufacture the SIRIUS S00 contactor family.
