It is the switching workhorse for motor loads, resistive heaters, and general inductive loads inside a control panel — the part you grab when a 3-phase motor needs a reliable make/break on a DIN rail. The coil termination uses spring-type terminals, so no screwdriver needed on the magnet coil circuit — just strip and push. That saves time during panel build or a field swap when you're working off a headlamp.
The contactor is rated for up to 1,000 switching cycles per hour in AC-1, AC-2, and AC-3 duty, dropping to 300 cycles per hour in AC-4. Wire termination on the main contacts accepts solid or stranded conductors from 1 mm² up to 10 mm², and you can double up 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) on the same terminal. That covers most control-circuit wiring you'd run in a panel — no need for ferrule adapters or ring terminals.
Physical fit: panel and footprint
Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 102 mm tall, and 97 mm deep. The 97 mm depth leaves clearance for wiring ducts behind the rail. That 6 mm side gap is tighter than the vertical clearances — watch it when packing contactors side-by-side on the same rail to avoid arc-flash between phases.
