The 3RT7046-1AM00: Screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm and 75 mm standard mounting rail — the S3 frame (148 x 70 x 139 mm) fits standard DIN-rail enclosures. That covers most panel layouts without derating.
Load switching capability
At 400 V the auxiliary contacts handle 3 A; at 230 V they handle 6 A. For DC-13 at 220 V, expect 0.3 A. Mechanical switching frequency maxes at 800 operations/hour under AC-3, dropping to 250/h under AC-4 (plugging/inching). That's typical for a general-purpose contactor — fine for conveyor start/stop, not for high-cycle indexing.
Coil and control
AC control supply voltage. Closing power of the magnet coil is 0.68 W DC; holding power drops to 0.27 W DC — the economizer circuit cuts power after pull-in, so the coil runs cool in continuous operation. Auxiliary switch blocks are available as an extension (Product Extension Auxiliary Switch: Yes). The contact reliability is rated for PLC-level signals (17 V, 5 mA), so you can feed the feedback directly into a 24 V DC input card without a separate interface relay.
Surge voltage resistance rated at 6 kV. For type 1 coordination, the required upstream fuse is a gL/gG NH 3NA: 200 A. Shock resistance tested at 10.6g / 5 ms and 6.2g / 10 ms on AC.
Accepts 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) finely stranded with ferrule. IP20 on the front face; IP00 at the terminal area — so the terminals need finger-safe covers if the panel door is open.
