Transformer-protection circuit breaker, 4 A, 100 kA
The 3-pole unit carries a Trip Class 10 characteristic, meaning it trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current — fast enough to protect a transformer winding from sustained overload while riding through inrush.
Main and auxiliary/control circuits both use screw-type terminals; solid wire accepted is 2× (1 … 2.5 mm²) and 2× (2.5 … 6 mm²), with the same ranges for stranded and finely stranded with ferrule. AWG equivalents are 2× (14 … 10). Backwards clearance is 0 mm — no extra space needed behind the rail.
Breaking capacity across voltage
Breaking capacity is 100 kA at 240 V AC, 100 kA at 400 V AC, 100 kA at 500 V AC, and 6 kA at 690 V AC. For most 400 V distribution panels the full 100 kA is available, which covers high-fault installations downstream of large transformers.
