The 3RW5073-2TB15 is a SIRIUS soft starter rated for a minimum load current of 100 A — that is the smallest settable Ie, not the maximum. The rated voltage span is 200 to 600 V, covering 208 V and 480 V common in North American panels as well as 400 V IEC installations. Trip class is CLASS 10A / 10E (preset) / 20E per IEC 60947-4-2, meaning it protects standard and heavy-start motor loads without nuisance tripping on longer acceleration ramps. Screw-fixing mount, 160 mm wide, 230 mm tall, 282 mm deep; clearance requirements are 100 mm upward, 75 mm downward, 10 mm forward, and 5 mm at the sides for airflow and wiring access.
Fieldbus and control options
This soft starter supports PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP natively — no separate communication module required for those protocols. PROFIenergy is available when used with the PROFINET standard communication module, letting the starter participate in energy-management shutdown sequences during idle periods. Remote reset is possible by cycling the control supply voltage. The unit also supports auto-reset, soft torque, voltage ramp, and pump ramp-down functions — useful for reducing water hammer in pump starts and stops. There is no analog output and no torque control; the HMI-High Feature is not included.
