Sizing and Trip Class
The 3RW5235-6AC15 is a SIRIUS soft starter with a minimum settable motor current of 68 A, relative to the smallest settable Ie. The trip class defaults to CLASS 10A per IEC 60947-4-2, with selectable 10E or 20E — meaning it can be configured for standard (10A), electronic (10E), or extended (20E) overload protection curves. This lets you match the protection to the motor's starting profile: 10A for normal starts, 20E for high-inertia loads like fans or centrifuges. Rated operating voltage spans 200 to 600 V, covering common low-voltage motor supplies across 50/60 Hz networks.
Fieldbus and Control Integration
This soft starter supports PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET — five fieldbus protocols on one device. PROFINET includes PROFIenergy capability when paired with the standard communication module. The analog output is factory-set to 4–20 mA but can be parameterized to 0–10 V via the High Feature HMI. Remote reset is achieved by cycling the control supply voltage.
Mounting and Environmental Clearances
Mounting is by screw fixing onto a vertical surface. The unit is rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back. Required clearances: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 10 mm forward, 5 mm at the sides, and 0 mm backward. Shock resistance is rated at 15 g / 11 ms, dropping to 12 g / 11 ms if potential contact lifting is a concern.
