Guard door interlock with 1300 N holding force
The Siemens 3SE5322-0SD21 is a SIRIUS mechanical safety switch designed for guard door monitoring where a positive-opening, slow-action contact set must break before the guard opens. Its spring-actuated lock (closed-circuit principle) applies 1300 N holding force to the separate actuator — enough to keep a heavy access gate closed against machine vibration or an operator leaning on it. The lock includes an auxiliary release for emergency override.
Washdown-rated enclosure and wiring
Rated IP66/IP67, the plastic housing survives hose-down cleaning in food or beverage lines. Three M20 cable entries give flexibility for gland placement. Screw terminals accept 1x (0.5…1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.5…0.75 mm²) solid conductors — typical for 14–18 AWG control wiring. The 10 A thermal current rating covers most 24 VDC or 120 VAC safety circuits; at 24 V the contacts are rated 3 A.
