The housing is a molded-plastic block design to EN 50047, 31 mm wide, with a rounded plunger actuator (6 mm diameter). It provides 2 normally-closed (NC) auxiliary contacts and no normally-open (NO) contacts. The positive-opening feature applies to both NC contacts, so the switch can be wired into a safety circuit that monitors guard position. The 6 mm plunger overtravel is built in, meaning the switch can be driven past the snap point without damage, which is typical for cam-operated guard doors. Electrical connection is via AS-i insulation displacement terminals — no screw terminals, no tool needed beyond a wire stripper. The AS-i flat cable is simply pressed into the slots. This saves wiring time on a multi-station line but locks you into the AS-i protocol (no Profinet, no IO-Link).
