It uses a mechanical active principle with a rounded plunger actuator and a positive-opening switching function — meaning the NC contact is mechanically forced open when the plunger is depressed, regardless of weld or spring failure. This positive-opening behavior (confirmed by the product function flag) is what makes it suitable for safety-related limit switching in machine guarding applications where a fail-safe state must be guaranteed. The housing is a molded-plastic block design per EN 50047, measuring 50 mm wide, with screw fixing for panel or machine-frame mounting. The switch head is rounded with a 6 mm outer diameter plunger. Protection class IP65 means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against water jets — adequate for washdown areas in food processing or packaging lines, though not for submersion or high-pressure spray.
