What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3UG4832-1AA40 is a SIRIUS voltage monitoring relay with digital setting, designed to supervise AC and DC supplies from 10 V to 600 V across a line frequency range of 40 to 500 Hz. It detects both overvoltage and undervoltage conditions, with a relative repeat accuracy of 1 %, and offers an IO-Link interface at COM2 (38.4 kBaud) for parameterization and diagnostics. The relay supports automatic and external reset, and includes a configurable start-up delay (0 to 999.9 s) to ride through transient dips.
Mounting and environment
Housed in a 22.5 mm wide enclosure (92 mm height, 91 mm depth), it snaps onto a DIN rail in any orientation — zero clearance required on all sides. Rated IP20, pollution degree 2, and operates from -25 °C to +60 °C; storage and transport range extends to -40 °C to +85 °C.
