The 3UG4841-1CA40: The measuring range of 0.2 to 10 A covers most small-to-medium motor and resistive loads in control panels. The relay's contact is rated 3 A at 250 V and 400 V at 50/60 Hz, which is enough to switch a contactor coil or PLC input directly. The LCD display shows the measured cos phi and the setpoint, so a commissioning engineer can verify the trip point without a meter.
Mounting and wiring
Snap-on mounting to a 35 mm DIN rail, 22.5 mm wide — fits the standard slot in any panel. The 102 mm height and 91 mm depth leave room for wiring ducts above and below. Terminal blocks accept 2 x 20-14 AWG solid or stranded, so paralleling a feed-through is straightforward. Mounting position is any, which helps when the panel layout is tight. IP20 protection means it's for use inside an enclosure only — no washdown or dust exposure. Pollution degree 2 is the standard for a clean, dry control cabinet. The zero-mm clearance on all sides (upwards, downwards, forwards, backwards, sideways) means it can be packed against adjacent devices without derating, as long as ambient stays within -25 to +60 °C during operation.
IO-Link and reset
IO-Link COM2 (38.4 kBaud) is built in, so the relay can report its measured values and status to a master without extra analog wiring. The external reset input (Yes) allows a remote pushbutton or PLC output to clear latched faults, which is useful for unmanned stations. The start-up delay (0 to 999.9 s) lets you skip the inrush period of a large motor or transformer.
