What this MCCB delivers for your panel
The Siemens 3VA1010-2ED42-0AE0 is a 4-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release for line protection. Its interrupting capacity hits 52.5 kA at 240 V and 32 kA at 415 V — enough headroom for most industrial distribution panels without cascading upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) keeps it comfortable on 480 V and 600 V class systems. Four HQ auxiliary switches are built in, so you can wire status feedback or shunt-trip monitoring without adding a separate block. Mounts on a DIN rail or panel base; the 101.6 mm width and 70 mm depth fit standard SENTRON 3VA cutouts.
Interrupting capacity across voltage levels
This MCCB delivers 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. That spread covers common low-voltage distribution voltages in North America (240/480 V) and IEC markets (400/415 V). At 690 V the 7.5 kA rating is sufficient for motor branch circuits with limited fault current — check your system's available fault current against these numbers for selectivity coordination.
Thermal derating and operating range
Rated 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C without derating. At 55 °C it holds 96 A, at 60 °C it holds 94 A, at 65 °C it holds 92 A, and at 70 °C it holds 90 A. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, size the load accordingly — the TM210 release tracks the thermal curve. Operating ambient spans -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. IP40 on the front face keeps dust out of the enclosure.
