The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1050-4ED46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection in distribution panels. It carries a continuous current Iu of 50 A with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release, adjustable to a maximum short-circuit release of 500 A. Breaking capacity is 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, and 52.5 kA at 440 V; at 500 V and 690 V it holds at 11.9 kA — making it suitable for high-fault utility feeds or downstream of large transformers. The thermal derating from 45 °C to 70 °C is mild: 50 A at 45 °C and 50 °C, 49 A at 55 °C, 48 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C — no need to oversize for typical panel ambient up to 50 °C.
