It carries a continuous current rating of 40 A across the full ambient temperature range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling, which simplifies panel sizing in warm enclosures. Breaking capacity hits 440 kA at 415 V and 187 kA at 690 V, so this breaker handles high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream.
Selectivity and coordination
The ETU860 release supports adjustable N-conductor protection from OFF to 40–160 % of the phase rating, plus summation-current ground-fault monitoring on the L conductors. Front-face protection is IP40, so it's fine for standard panel mounting where no washdown or dust ingress is expected. Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for DIN-rail or screw-mount backpan assembly.
