The Siemens 5SL4606-8CC is a 3+N-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 400 V with a 10 kA breaking capacity and a D-curve trip characteristic at 6 A. The D-curve means it tolerates the high inrush currents typical of motor and transformer loads — it will not nuisance-trip on startup — while still clearing short-circuit faults up to 10 kA at 400 V. That 10 kA SCCR is the maximum fault current the breaker can safely interrupt without welding its contacts or arcing to the enclosure, so it fits panels where the prospective short-circuit current at the distribution board is known to stay under that level.
