The C-curve means it trips between 5 and 10 times rated current — suited for inductive loads like small motors or lighting banks where inrush is moderate, not for high-surge transformer primaries (that would call for a D-curve). Breaking capacity is 6 kA per both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2 — that is the maximum prospective fault current the breaker can safely interrupt at 400 V AC. For a residential or light-commercial distribution board fed by a transformer with a known fault level under 6 kA, this holds. If the available fault current at the panel exceeds 6 kA, you need a higher-rated breaker or a current-limiting upstream device. Temperature derating is published: 32 A at 30 °C, 29.56 A at 40 °C, 28.16 A at 45 °C, 25.48 A at 55 °C. If the breaker sits in a warm enclosure — near other heat sources or in a non-ventilated panel — use the 40 °C or 55 °C column to size the load. Supplementary devices (auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, alarm switches) are installable, so you can add remote status or trip indication without replacing the breaker.
