What this MCB does and where it fits
The Siemens 5SL6532-7CC is a 1P+N miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON 5SL6 series, rated 32 A with a C tripping characteristic and a 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 at 230 V AC. That C-curve means it holds through moderate inrush — think lighting banks, small motor loads, or general-purpose socket circuits in residential and light commercial distribution boards — and trips fast on hard shorts. The 6 kA SCCR covers most domestic and infrastructure panel faults without needing an upstream current-limiting fuse. The 1P+N configuration switches the phase and switches the neutral, so the neutral is broken and remade with the line. That's useful for final subcircuits where you want isolation on both poles without a full 2-pole breaker footprint — it occupies 2 width units (36 mm) on the DIN rail.
Rated for the panel environment
The 5SL6532-7CC snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail and can be mounted in any position — no derating for upside-down or sideways fit inside a crowded enclosure. Depth is 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm, so it clears a 100 mm shallow backbox. Ambient operating range is -25 to +45 °C; storage range stretches -40 to +75 °C, which covers most electrical rooms and outdoor kiosks. Terminal capacity accepts 0.75 to 25 mm² solid or stranded copper, with a tightening torque of 2.5 to 3 N·m on the screw terminals. The housing is halogen-free and silicon-free — relevant for installations where off-gassing from a fault could damage adjacent electronics or where silicone contamination affects contactors or drives sharing the panel. IP20 with connected conductors means it's protected against finger contact once wired; no special sealing for washdown areas.
