What it is and what the ratings mean
The Siemens 5SL6532-8CC is a 1+N-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 32 A with a D-curve trip characteristic, breaking capacity of 6 kA at 230 V. The D-curve means the magnetic trip operates at 10 to 20 times rated current — designed for loads with high inrush, like motor starters, transformers, or discharge lighting. The 6 kA breaking capacity at 230 V tells you it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without welding contacts or cascading failure upstream in the distribution board.
Panel integration note
The 1+N-pole form factor snaps onto standard DIN rail in the distribution board. The neutral pole switches simultaneously with the line pole — no separate neutral bar needed for that circuit. The D-curve makes it a fit for motor feeder circuits or any load where the inrush exceeds what a C-curve would tolerate without nuisance tripping.
