That is the standard choice for basic shock and fire protection in circuits without electronic loads that generate pulsed or high-frequency DC fault currents. For VFDs, UPS systems, or EV chargers, a Type A or Type B RCCB would be needed — this Type AC unit is not suitable there.

Rated conditional short-circuit current per IEC 61008-1 is 0.8 kA, backed by a maximum permissible series fuse of 80 A. The 10 kA SCCR applies when the RCCB is coordinated with an upstream overcurrent protective device — typically a 63 A or 80 A MCB or fuse. Without that coordination, the 0.8 kA value governs.
