Under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No. 235 it carries a 5 kA interrupting rating, so for a panel built to North American code the available fault current at the breaker must not exceed 5 kA.
Thermal derating — the number that matters for real loads
The 6 A rating holds at 35 °C. Above that the breaker derates: 5.51 A at 40 °C, 5.25 A at 45 °C, 4.97 A at 50 °C, 4.69 A at 55 °C. If the panel ambient runs 50 °C, size the circuit for 5 A continuous, not 6 A.
