Panel fit and input flexibility
The 6EP1336-3BA00: Snaps onto DIN rail EN 60715 35x7.5/15 — the 50 mm top and bottom clearance keeps airflow natural for convection cooling. Dual AC input covers 85–132 V (120 V nominal) and 176–264 V (230 V nominal) at 50/60 Hz, so one part number handles both common line voltages without a jumper change. Input wiring uses one screw terminal each for L, N, PE accepting 0.2–4 mm²; output side has two terminals each for + and – accepting 0.5–4 mm².
Output rating and thermal derating
Rated 20 A continuous at 24 V DC from 0 to +60 °C with natural convection — above 60 °C derate 3.5% per K up to 70 °C ambient. Safety extra-low output voltage (SELV) per EN 60950-1 and EN 50178, so the 24 V rail is touch-safe for control circuits and field devices. MTBF 786,164 hours at 40 °C — the reliability figure for a 24/7 control panel power bus.
Upstream protection coordination
Recommended miniature circuit breaker for single-phase operation is 10 A characteristic C; for two-phase operation use a 2-pole breaker or Siemens 3RV2411-1JA10 (120 V) or 3RV2411-1FA10 (230 V). Maximum I²t value is 9.9 A²·s — the let-through energy the supply can deliver into a fault before the internal protection clears. Typical no-load input current is 0.4 mA; maximum 3.5 mA — low enough that a standard MCB won't nuisance trip on inrush.
Approvals and lifecycle
cULus-Listed under UL 508 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1, File E197259 — accepted for North American panel builds without additional agency review. CE marked and EAC approved — covers European and Eurasian Economic Union installations.
