The Siemens 6ES7332-7ND02-0AB0 is a 4-channel analog output module for the S7-300 family. It accepts four independent outputs configurable for voltage (0 to 10 V, 1 V to 5 V, -10 V to +10 V) or current (0 to 20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA, -20 mA to +20 mA) with 16-bit resolution including overrange. This module runs on a 24 V DC load supply and draws up to 290 mA from L+ plus 120 mA from the backplane bus at 5 V DC. Typical power loss is 3 W.
For a BOM that requires a drop-in replacement, an integrator should verify the exact functional requirements and available siblings in the SM 332 family.
The module delivers 4 analog outputs in isochronous mode — each channel can be assigned its own output range. Conversion time is 200 µs per channel in standard mode, or 640 µs per channel in isochronous mode. Resolution runs to 16 bits including sign bit, which gives fine granularity across the full output span. Voltage outputs are short-circuit-protected with a maximum short-circuit current of 40 mA; current outputs can drive up to 500 Ω on the loop, with inductive loads up to 1 mH. Load response times vary: 0.2 ms for resistive loads, 0.5 ms for inductive loads, 3.3 ms for capacitive loads. The module includes parameterisable diagnostic alarm and group error indication (red SF LED). Channel-to-channel isolation and isolation to the backplane bus are both present, tested at 1 500 V DC. Reverse polarity protection is built in on the load supply.
Physical dimensions and connector
Maximum cable length for shielded twisted-pair runs is 200 m. The module mounts into the standard S7-300 DIN rail profile alongside other I/O and CPU modules.
