The 6SL3210-1PE26-0UL0: The PM240-2 is rated for 22 kW high overload (HO) and 30 kW low overload (LO) at 380-480 VAC input. HO delivers 200 % current for 3 s and 150 % for 57 s — enough for starting a loaded conveyor or a pump across the line. LO gives 150 % for 3 s and 110 % for 57 s, suited for fans or centrifugal loads where starting torque is lower. Ambient temperature limits the duty: HO is rated to +50 °C, LO to +40 °C. Inside a sealed cabinet with other heat sources, you may need to derate or add forced ventilation to stay within the operating envelope.
What the built-in braking chopper means for the panel
The module includes a built-in braking chopper — no external braking resistor module needed for dynamic braking. The chopper activates when the DC bus rises above the threshold during deceleration, dumping energy into an external resistor you size for the stopping duty cycle. This saves panel space and wiring compared to a separate chopper unit. IP20 protection means the power module is intended for cabinet installation only — not for washdown or outdoor mounting. The blocksize format FSD (472 x 200 x 237 mm HxWxD) fits a standard enclosure depth; plan for clearance above and below for airflow.
This power module requires a separate Control Unit (CU) and operator panel — it is not a standalone drive. The approved CU firmware version is V4.7 HF8. Confirm the CU model and firmware compatibility when ordering to avoid a mismatch at commissioning. RoHS compliant since 01-01-17; REACH Article 33 applies due to lead content above 0.1 % w/w.
