The 6SL3210-1PE34-8CL0: The PM240-2 FSG C3 carries two distinct duty cycles: low overload (LO) at 250 kW with 150% for 3 s, 110% for 57 s, 100% for 240 s at 40 °C ambient; high overload (HO) at 200 kW with 200% for 3 s, 150% for 57 s, 100% for 240 s at 50 °C ambient. Built-in braking chopper handles deceleration energy without an external resistor module. For applications with frequent stops or overhauling loads (conveyor, crane, centrifuge), this saves panel space and wiring — the chopper threshold is set at the DC-bus voltage, and an external resistor sized to the duty cycle prevents bus overvoltage trips on fast stops.
Active production — no BOM risk
Lifecycle stage is mature, production status active. For a line-down spare or a new panel build, this means the part number stays valid through the project cycle without forced redesign. Export control classification AL:N / ECCN:9N9999 — no ITAR restriction, so cross-border procurement for global sites does not require special licensing. RoHS compliant since 2018; REACH Article 33 declares lead above 0.1% w/w (CAS 7439-92-1) — this matters for EU end-of-life reporting and waste disposal documentation.
Panel integration and compliance
The dimensions (1000 x 305 x 357 mm HxWxD) and packaging footprint (395 x 1190 x 591 mm) require a floor-mount or large wall-mount enclosure; plan for top cable entry and bottom cooling airflow clearance per the SINAMICS manual. Approved for CU firmware versions V4.7 SP9 and V5.1 — the control unit is ordered separately. If your site runs an older CU firmware revision, the power module may require a firmware update to match the communication profile. The PM240-2 accepts the standard SINAMICS memory card for parameter backup and firmware upgrade.
