The 6SL3210-1RH21-4UL0 is a SINAMICS G120 PM240P-2 power module built for 3-phase 500-690V AC lines — the kind of voltage you see on European 690V industrial networks or step-up transformer feeds. It delivers 7.5 kW under high overload (HO) conditions: 150% for 60 seconds, then 100% for 240 seconds, with an ambient ceiling of +50°C. Drop to low overload (LO) mode and it handles 11 kW at 135% for 3 seconds, 110% for 57 seconds, 100% for 240 seconds, but the ambient limit drops to +40°C. The NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs) status from Siemens means this variant is on the back end of its lifecycle. For a line-down replacement or an existing BOM position, it's still a valid spare — but for a new panel build, you'd look at the current PM240P-2 generation or the G120X series.
Overload profile and real-world duty
The LO rating suits constant-torque applications like a compressor that runs steady-state and only needs a brief 135% kick on startup. Ambient temperature is the derating lever: at +50°C you get the full HO spec, but if the panel runs hotter — say +55°C from adjacent drives — you lose headroom. The IP20 enclosure means it's for indoor cabinet mounting only; no washdown or dust-tight rating here.
The FSD frame size measures 472 x 200 x 237 mm (H x W x D). That's a substantial footprint — plan for a 600mm-wide enclosure to leave side clearance for cabling and airflow. The unfiltered variant skips the internal EMC filter, so you'll need an external filter on the line side if the installation requires Class A or B emissions compliance per EN 61800-3. It ships without a Control Unit (CU) or operator panel — those are ordered separately and plug into the top slot. The approved CU firmware baseline is V4.7 SP6 HF1, so if you're integrating into an existing G120 fleet, check that the CU firmware matches or can be upgraded.
