The 6SL3210-5BE31-8UV0: Rated 18.5 kW at 380-480 V 3 AC, 47-63 Hz, with a 150% overload capability for 60 seconds — this is the heavy-duty cycle for pump, fan, or conveyor starts where the motor draws locked-rotor current during acceleration. A second overload rating of 110% for 60 s at 22 kW output covers light-duty applications where the drive runs near its thermal limit but needs a brief headroom margin.
I/O and fieldbus — what connects
The I/O complement is 4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 2 analog inputs, and 1 analog output — enough for a basic speed reference, start/stop, and fault feedback without an expansion module. Fieldbus is USS/MODBUS RTU over the built-in RS-485 port; the onboard Basic Operator Panel (BOP) handles local parameter access and fault readout without a separate HMI.
