The 6SL3220-1YE58-0CP0 is a SINAMICS G120X infrastructure converter rated 355 kW at 380-480 VAC, designed specifically for HVAC, water, and wastewater pump and fan loads. The overload capability — 135% for 3 seconds, 110% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — matches the starting and transient demands of centrifugal pumps and fans without oversizing the drive.
Duty cycle and overload headroom
The 135% overload for 3 seconds handles the locked-rotor inrush of a direct-coupled pump motor; the 110% for 60 seconds covers the acceleration ramp. The 100% continuous rating for 240 seconds means the drive can sustain full rated current through a soft-start or deceleration cycle without tripping on I²t. The RFI suppression filter is built in for category C3 environments (industrial mains, second environment per EN 61800-3). The input range is 380-480 VAC +10%/-20% at 47-63 Hz, covering 400 V and 480 V nominal grids without a transformer tap change.
Fieldbus and integration notes
The IP20 / UL open type enclosure is intended for indoor panel mounting; the FSH frame size requires a floor-standing cabinet with adequate ventilation clearance per the mounting manual. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +45 °C without derating. The drive ships without an operator panel or IO expansion module — these are ordered separately if local HMI or additional I/O points are needed.
