The 6SL3220-1YE60-1CP0 is a SINAMICS G120X infrastructure converter rated 400 kW with a 135% overload capability for 3 seconds, 110% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds. That overload profile is the deciding factor for pump starts, fan inertia ramps, and screw compressor load steps — if the driven load demands more torque than the 135% ceiling for longer than 3 s, the drive trips on overcurrent. The drive accepts 3-phase 380-480 VAC +10/-20% at 47-63 Hz, with an integrated RFI suppression filter for category C3. On a 480 V supply, the C3 filter meets conducted emission limits for industrial environments; for residential or utility-grid-tied installations, an external C2 or C1 filter may be required ahead of the drive.
PROFIBUS DP and IP20 — what connects and where it sits
Fieldbus is integrated PROFIBUS DP — no option module needed. The drive appears as a PROFIdrive profile slave on the bus; the GSD file defines the cyclic process data mapping. For plants running a Siemens S7-300/400 or ET 200 DP master, this is a direct drop-in without a gateway.
