355 kW at the shaft — overload profile that matters for pump and fan duty
The 6SL3220-1YH58-1CF0: Rated 355 kW with a 135% overload for 3 seconds and 110% for 60 seconds; the 100% continuous rating holds for 240 seconds. That overload stack is built for centrifugal loads where the breakaway torque is low but the inertia takes time to spin up — a fan wheel or a large pump impeller won't trip the drive on starting current. The input range is 3AC 500-690 V +10/-20 % at 47-63 Hz, so it lands on 480 V, 575 V, and 690 V grids without a transformer — common for North American and European industrial installations feeding the same drive.
Built-in fieldbus and IO — no option card needed
PROFINET PN and Ethernet IP are integrated on the base unit. No separate communication module to order, slot, and configure — the drive shows up as a PROFINET device on the network and the IO controller maps the process data directly. The IO expansion is also included on the base board, so you get the digital and analog I/O without an add-on terminal module. The operator panel is not fitted — if you need local control and parameter access, order the panel separately.
Enclosure, ambient, and mounting for a panel builder
IP20 / UL open type — it is designed for installation inside a cabinet, not standalone in a wet environment. The ambient temperature range is 0 to +45 °C; derate above that per the SINAMICS G120X manual. Size FSH is the large frame in the G120X family. The packaging dimensions are 800 x 1870 x 600 mm, so plan the cabinet depth and the lifting gear — this is not a one-person mount. The RFI suppression filter is built in and meets category C3. That means it is suitable for industrial second-environment networks (not residential) and typically satisfies the EMC requirements for a CE-marked panel without an external filter.
Lifecycle and compliance — active production, made to order
Product class C means it is manufactured to order and cannot be returned for credit. Plan your BOM quantities carefully — no stocking a spare and sending it back if the project changes. RoHS compliant since March 2020, with a REACH Article 33 disclosure for lead (CAS 7439-92-1 above 0.1% w/w). Export control is AL N / ECCN EAR99H — no special license required for most destinations.
