315 kW VFD for HVAC and water — what the ratings mean
The Siemens 6SL3220-2YE56-0CB0 is a SINAMICS G120X infrastructure drive rated 315 kW at 380–480 V, 47–63 Hz, with overload capability of 135% for 3 seconds, 110% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — these define the motor load it can handle during pump/fan starts and transient events without tripping. It includes an integrated RFI suppression filter for category C3 (second environment, industrial) and a Basic Operator Panel; the IP20 / UL open type enclosure is designed for panel mounting in a clean indoor environment.
Active production and compliance
RoHS compliant since March 2020; REACH Article 33 applies for lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w. Export classification is AL: N / ECCN: EAR99H — no special license required for most destinations.
Integration: fieldbus and packaging
Integrated fieldbus options are MODBUS RTU, BACnet MS/TP, and USS — no additional communication module needed for HVAC/water SCADA integration. The drive ships without an IO expansion module; the Basic Operator Panel is included.
