560 kW at 500-690 V — overload profile for pump/fan duty
The 6SL3220-2YH66-1CB0 is a SINAMICS G120X infrastructure converter rated 560 kW continuous output on a 500-690 VAC three-phase supply, 47-63 Hz. The overload capability is 135% for 3 seconds, 110% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — this matches the starting and short-term surge profile of centrifugal pumps and fans where the breakaway torque is modest but the inertia keeps the drive in overload for several seconds. The voltage tolerance is +10/-20%, so the drive operates down to 400 VAC and up to 759 VAC without derating — a practical margin for weak-grid sites or generators where the bus sags under load. This is a product class C part — manufactured to order, non-cancellable, non-returnable. The FSJ frame dimensions (1200 x 1857 x 800 mm) set the panel cutout and gland-plate layout; the IP20 / UL open type means the enclosure builder provides the environmental seal and cooling.
Native BACnet and MODBUS — no gateway required
The drive ships with integrated MODBUS RTU, BACnet MS/TP, and USS fieldbus on the standard terminal block. For HVAC and water/wastewater plants, BACnet MS/TP is the de-facto BMS protocol — this drive talks directly to the building controller without an external gateway or protocol converter. The Basic Operator Panel (BOP) and IO expansion module are included in the base unit. The IO expansion adds extra digital and analog I/O points beyond the standard terminal strip, reducing the need for a separate remote I/O station for local interlocks and feedback. The RFI suppression filter is category C3, meaning it meets conducted emission limits for industrial second-environment installations. The installer must ensure the motor cable shield is bonded 360° at both ends to keep the emissions within the C3 envelope — a ferrite clamp on a pigtail shield will not pass the CE mark.
Active production — project-build lead time
RoHS compliance is effective since 11-03-20. The REACH Article 33 declaration notes Lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in the candidate list — this must be communicated downstream if the drive is incorporated into EU end-use equipment. Export control classification is AL:N / ECCN EAR99H — no US export license required for most destinations; the HTS code is embedded in the EAR99H suffix for customs clearance.
