The Siemens 6SL3220-2YH68-1CB0 is a SINAMICS G120X infrastructure converter rated 630 kW with overload capability of 135 % for 3 s or 110 % for 60 s, 100 % for 240 s — sized for pump, fan, and compressor loads in HVAC, water, and wastewater plants where the duty cycle demands sustained torque at high ambient.
Voltage range, RFI filter, and ambient temperature ceiling
Input range covers 3 AC 500-690 V +10/-20 % at 47-63 Hz with an integrated RFI suppression filter for category C3 — the drive connects directly to 525 V, 600 V, or 690 V grids without an external line reactor for conducted emissions compliance in industrial networks. Ambient temperature rating is 0 to +45 °C — the 45 °C ceiling means the drive can sit in a non-conditioned electrical room or pump house without derating, but the enclosure must still allow free airflow through the IP20 / UL open type frame.
Fieldbus and operator interface — BMS-ready out of the box
Integrated fieldbus includes MODBUS RTU, BACnet MS/TP, and USS — the drive talks directly to building management systems or SCADA without a gateway module; the Basic Operator Panel and IO expansion are included as standard, so no add-on cards are needed for local control or digital/analog I/O.
