Active production — BOM-fit for HVAC/water/wastewater
The 6SL3220-3YE56-1CF0: Rated 315 kW at 135% overload for 3 seconds or 110% for 60 seconds (100% for 240 s) on a 3-phase 380-480 V supply. This overload profile matches the starting and stall requirements of centrifugal pumps and fans — the 135% short-duration peak handles inrush without oversizing the drive.
Fieldbus and I/O — what is on board
PROFINET PN and Ethernet IP are integrated on the drive. No external communication module is needed for these protocols — the drive connects directly to the plant network. An Intelligent Operator Panel and IO expansion are included as standard, which saves a separate HMI for local control and monitoring. The RFI suppression filter is category C3 for the 380-480 V range. This means the drive meets conducted emission limits for industrial environments (second environment) without an external filter, but it is not suitable for residential or public low-voltage networks without additional attenuation.
IP20 panel integration — enclosure planning
IP20 / UL open type means the drive requires a panel or enclosure — it is not rated for standalone outdoor or washdown installation. The FSH frame size and packaging dimensions of 800 x 1,870 x 600 mm give the physical envelope for cabinet layout and busbar planning. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +45 °C. Above 45 °C, derating applies per the SINAMICS G120X manual — plan for forced ventilation or a larger cabinet if the ambient approaches the ceiling.
