The Siemens 6SL3220-3YE60-1CB0 is a SINAMICS G120X infrastructure converter rated 400 kW with a 135% overload capability for 3 seconds and 110% for 60 seconds — the overload profile matches the starting and transient demands of centrifugal pumps, fans, and compressors in HVAC and water/wastewater duty. It ships with an integrated RFI suppression filter for Category C3, meaning it meets conducted emissions limits for industrial second-environment installations (not residential). The IP20 / UL open type enclosure requires mounting inside a panel or cabinet that provides touch and dust protection.
Fieldbus and I/O — no extra gateway for BAS integration
Three fieldbus protocols are integrated on the drive: MODBUS RTU, BACnet MS/TP, and USS. For a building automation system (BAS) using BACnet, this drive connects directly to the MS/TP trunk without an external gateway or protocol converter. The Intelligent Operator Panel (IOP) provides local parameter access, diagnostics, and commissioning wizard — no laptop needed for basic setup.
