The 6SL3220-3YE64-1CF0 is a SINAMICS G120X drive rated 500 kW continuous, with a 135% overload for 3 seconds or 110% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — that's the duty cycle for pump and fan loads where the peak comes during startup or a momentary line disturbance, not a steady-state torque demand. It's built for infrastructure applications: HVAC, water, and wastewater, where the load profile is variable torque (fans, centrifugal pumps) rather than constant torque (conveyors, extruders).

Fieldbus and I/O — what's onboard
PROFINET PN and Ethernet/IP are integrated on the control board — no separate communication module needed, which saves a slot and simplifies the BOM for a panel build. An Intelligent Operator Panel (IOP) is included for local parameterization and diagnostics, plus IO expansion for additional digital and analog signals beyond the base terminal block. IP20 / UL open type means it's protected against solid objects larger than 12 mm (fingers, tools) but not against water ingress — install it in a clean, dry indoor enclosure, not on a washdown line. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +45 °C without derating; above that, consult the derating curves in the manual or size the cabinet cooling accordingly.
