The 6SL3220-3YH56-0CF0: This SINAMICS G120X converter delivers 315 kW rated power with a defined overload capability: 135 % for 3 seconds, 110 % for 60 seconds, and 100 % for 240 seconds. That profile matches the starting and transient demands of centrifugal pumps, fans, and compressors in HVAC and water/wastewater service — the torque ramp on a fan across the duct static pressure curve stays well inside the 110 % 60-second window. Input voltage range is 3 AC 500-690 V +10/-20 % at 47-63 Hz, covering 525 V, 575 V, 600 V, and 690 V nominal grids common in North American and European industrial installations. The built-in EMC filter meets category C3 for second-environment (industrial) networks — no external filter needed for most plant-floor runs.
Frame FSH, IP20 — panel fit and cooling
The IP20 rating requires the cabinet door to provide the environmental seal — the drive itself is touch-safe but not washdown-rated. Plan for top cable entry and sufficient clearance above and below for the integral cooling fan airflow; the frame FSH heat sink is sized for 45 °C ambient without derating. The intelligent operator panel (IOP) is included — local parameter access, diagnostics, and commissioning wizards without a laptop. Fieldbus is integrated PROFINET-PN and EtherNet/IP; no separate communication module is required for these protocols.
