The 6SL3220-3YH64-1CF0 is rated for 500 kW at 690 V, with an overload capability of 135% for 3 seconds or 110% for 60 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — this matches the cyclic loading profile of centrifugal pumps and axial fans in HVAC or water/wastewater duty, where peak torque occurs only during start or transient events. The drive is part of the SINAMICS G120X family, purpose-built for infrastructure converters in HVAC, water, and wastewater applications, with a built-in RFI suppression filter for category C3.
Fieldbus and IO for system integration
Integrated PROFINET PN and Ethernet IP fieldbus interfaces allow direct connection to a plant-wide automation network without an external gateway — the drive appears as a standard PROFINET IO device on the controller scan list. An IO expansion module is included, providing additional digital and analog I/O for local feedback signals such as pressure transducer inputs or valve position feedback, reducing the need for a separate remote I/O rack.
