30 kW, IP55, built-in filter — what that means for the installation
Rated 30 kW low overload with 110% for 60 s and 100% for 240 s — this is a variable-torque duty cycle suited for pumps and fans, not constant-torque conveyors or extruders. IP55 / UL Type 12 enclosure means the drive can be mounted directly in a washdown area or outdoors without a separate cabinet, as long as the ambient stays 0 to +40 °C for full rating. Built-in Class B EMC filter covers the 3AC 380-480 V input at 47-63 Hz — no external filter needed for most European and North American installations, saving panel space and wiring.
Requires CU230P-2 control unit — not a standalone drive
This is the PM230 power module only — it needs a CU230P-2 control unit and a BOP or IOP panel to operate. The firmware version is V4.3.2, so the control unit must match or be field-upgraded.
