What this 90 kW PM230 delivers that a standard drive doesn't
The 6SL3223-0DE38-8BA0 is a SINAMICS G120P PM230 power module rated for 90 kW low overload at 3-phase 380-480 VAC, 47-63 Hz. The low overload profile handles 110% for 60 seconds and 100% for 240 seconds — enough headroom for pump and fan starts without oversizing the drive. Built-in Class B EMC filter means it meets EN 61800-3 Category C2 conducted emissions limits out of the box — no external filter needed for most industrial environments. The IP55 / UL Type 12 enclosure lets it sit in washdown zones or dusty panel rooms without a separate cabinet.

RoHS compliant since 02-Apr-2012. REACH Article 33 disclosure notes lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in certain components — standard for power semiconductors with tin-lead solder in the die attach. Export control is AL N / ECCN N, so no special license needed for most destinations.
What mates with this power module
The PM230 requires a separate CU230P-2 control unit (not included) and the firmware version V4.3.2 or later. The operator panel is also separate. The 915 x 410 x 416 mm (HxWxD) footprint needs a backplate or floor-mount stand — this is not a DIN-rail drive.
