PM330 power module — what the overload ratings mean for your load profile
The 6SL3310-1PE34-6AA0 is a SINAMICS G120P PM330 power module from the PM330 family, designed for pump and fan duty in HVAC and industrial process applications. Input accepts 380-480 VAC +10/-10%, 47-63 Hz, three-phase. No built-in line filter or braking chopper — those are external additions if the application needs them. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +40 °C; above that, derate per the PM330 thermal guidelines.
NRND — what it means for a BOM line
Siemens lists this power module as NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). That means it is not formally discontinued, but the manufacturer advises against specifying it into new projects. Existing installations and MRO spares can still be sourced through independent distribution channels. For new builds, Siemens typically steers toward the current SINAMICS G120X or G120XA series, but those are different form factors — a direct drop-in replacement is not on the table without a panel rework.
Physical fit and compliance paperwork
The FSGX frame measures 1447 x 452 x 328 mm (H x W x D) and is rated IP20 — open chassis for cabinet mounting. No control unit or panel is included; the module is designed to mate with a CU230P-2 control unit running firmware V4.6 or later. RoHS compliant since 18 February 2009, with a REACH Article 33 notice for lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in certain components. Export control is AL:N / ECCN:9N9999, meaning no special license is required for most destinations.
