The ABB PSE370 soft starter 1SFA897115R7001 delivers soft start with torque control for three-phase induction motors, with a ramp time adjustable from 0 to 30 seconds and an initial voltage setting between 30 and 70 % of line voltage — giving you control over the acceleration profile for pump, fan, or conveyor starts without mechanical shock. Rated for 208 to 600 V AC at 50/60 Hz, it carries a control supply of 100–250 V AC and a separate 24 V DC control circuit, so it fits standard panel voltages across regions. Built-in electronic overload protection covers locked rotor, current underload, and EOL conditions, with a current limit function adjustable from 1.5 to 7 times the motor full-load current — one less external relay to wire.
Integration and communications
Modbus-RTU on the control terminals lets a PLC or HMI read run, fault, overload, and bypass status directly — three dedicated signal relays (run, fault, bypass, overload) are also available for hardwired interlocks. A 4–20 mA analog output provides a proportional motor current signal for remote monitoring or trending. Main circuit connections are via bars with an 8.5 mm hole diameter; control wiring accepts 1 x 2.5 mm² rigid, tightened to 0.5 N·m. The main terminals are IP00 per IEC 60529, so it lives inside a panel — not outdoors.
RoHS compliant per EU Directive 2011/65/EU and Amendment 2015/863, classified as B2B WEEE Category 5 (Small Equipment).
