Heavy-duty (PhD) drops to 500 kW / 697 A, which governs constant-torque applications such as conveyors or extruders where the drive must hold rated torque across the speed range. Light-overload (PlD) sits at 560 kW / 857 A, a middle band for applications with moderate overload profiles. Matching the duty class to the load profile is what keeps the drive out of thermal trip during peak demand.
