Ratings and duty classes
The 3AXD50000036414: Normal-use (Pn) output is 37 kW at 78 A. Heavy-duty (PhD) and light-overload (PlD) both also deliver 37 kW, but the current differs: heavy-duty pulls 66 A, light-overload pulls 74 A. Under UL ratings, heavy-duty output is 50 Hp at 66 A, light-overload 50 Hp at 74 A. So the drive delivers the same power across duty cycles, but the current limit shifts — important when sizing cables and upstream protection for the actual load profile. Apparent power output is 54 kV·A, power factor 0.98. Standby loss is 34 W — not negligible if the drive stays powered but idle for long periods. Efficiency class IE2, which is the baseline for this power range.
Built-in I/O: 2 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 6 digital inputs, 5 digital outputs. Communication is CAN only — no onboard Industrial Ethernet. If your network uses PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT, you will need an optional fieldbus adapter module. The drive includes a PC connection port for drive commissioning software.
Rated for ambient temperatures up to 40 °C, altitude up to 1000 m without derating. Operating humidity 5-95% non-condensing. Sound level 70 dB(A) — noticeable in a quiet control room but typical for an R4 frame drive. IP20, so it needs a clean, dry enclosure.
