Duty ratings and headroom
The 3AXD50000047398: Normal-use output (110 kW, 180 A) is the standard selection point for constant-torque loads. Heavy-duty use (90 kW, 156 A) applies for demanding cyclic or high-overload applications — the 156 A figure matches the UL heavy-duty current rating, confirming it is the same derated curve. Light-overload use (171 A) sits between the two. The apparent power output of 156 kVA gives a quick sizing check against motor nameplate kVA.
Two analog inputs and two analog outputs are onboard. Digital I/O counts six inputs and two outputs. Communication is via CAN; no onboard Industrial Ethernet (0 hardware interfaces). The control unit is included in the package. Standby loss is 89 W, power consumption at rated load is 3068 W. The drive includes two CR2032 lithium coin cells (220 mAh, 3 V) for parameter backup.
