The 3AXD50000158034: Heavy-duty use is rated at 75 kW / 124 A, light-overload at 90 kW / 148 A. The UL listing mirrors the heavy-duty and light-overload currents (124 A and 156 A respectively) with horsepower equivalents of 100 Hp and 125 Hp. Normal-use UL horsepower is not specified, which is common for drives in this class where the heavy-duty rating governs the UL nameplate. Regenerative drives like this one are exempt from EU ecodesign energy-efficiency reporting under Regulation EU/2019/1781 §2.3.c — the energy-recovery function makes a fixed efficiency figure misleading. That exemption is noted in the documentation.
Integration and I/O
The drive carries 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs, plus 7 digital inputs and 5 digital outputs. Communication is via CAN; there is no industrial Ethernet interface onboard (0 hardware Ethernet ports). If your line uses PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT, you will need an optional fieldbus adapter module — plan for that in the BOM. The control unit is included, so the drive arrives with its standard I/O and CAN interface. The internal battery pack (two CR2032 lithium coin cells, 3 V, 220 mAh each) backs up the real-time clock and parameter settings. Expect to replace them during a major overhaul — the 5–95 % humidity range and 40 °C max ambient are the operating limits that matter for panel placement.
Physical and environmental
Enclosure is IP22 / NEMA Type 1, so it is suitable for indoor, dry locations — not for washdown areas or outdoor installation without a separate cabinet. The sound level is 70 dB(A), which is noticeable in a small electrical room but typical for an R8 frame drive at full load. Altitude derating starts above 1000 m; if your site is higher, factor that into the current capability.
