What the B9C-101 Is and What It Does
The B9C-101 is a 9A, 600V-rated contactor with a 120V coil, used to switch motor and resistive loads in control panels. The 9A rating in AC-1 duty covers resistive loads up to that current; for motor loads (AC-3 duty), derating applies per the manufacturer's curve. The 120V coil means it pulls in on a 120VAC control circuit — common in North American panel builds where the control transformer feeds 120V to the contactor bus.
Deployment Context
Snap-on DIN rail mounting is standard for this contactor class, fitting into a panel enclosure alongside overload relays and terminal blocks. The 120V coil ties directly to a 120VAC control bus, so verify the control transformer VA rating can handle the inrush before committing the BOM.
